- The Jefferson Cup, regarded as one of the top youth soccer tournaments in the country being associated with tournaments such as the Surf Cup, features some of the nation’s top natural grass and synthetic turf facilities.
- For 2027, the Jefferson Cup will feature over 40 synthetic turf fields, virtually ensuring full tournament play regardless of any weather issues.
- The Jefferson Cup has been around for over 40+ years and is operated by Richmond United. The tournament leadership has over 30+ years of tournament operation experience and Richmond United has been involved in the game for 50+ years.
- Top Brackets of each age group and U16-U19 Showcase games will continue to be played on some of the nation’s finest natural grass and synthetic turf complexes, including Glover Park, River City Sportsplex, & Striker Park.
- The River City Sportsplex features 16 synthetic turf fields which allows tournament play to continue under adverse weather conditions for all age groups and brackets.
- The Jefferson Cup accepted 1979 teams out of over 2600 applications in 2026. Teams participated from 36 States throughout the country, as well as International teams from 4 countries.
- Top brackets consist of hundreds of highly ranked teams from some of the top leagues in the country including ECNL, MLS Next, Girls Academy, ECNL RL, DPL, USYS Regional and National Leagues, EDP, APL, NPL.
- In 2026, 250 Boys College Coaches and 400 Girls College Coaches attended the Jefferson Cup.
